Clients often want to know when they can expect the IRS to send their income tax refund. If your Form 1040 is e-filed, the IRS typically issues direct-deposited refunds within 2 weeks and paper check refunds within 3 weeks of when your e-filed tax return is accepted. If your Form 1040 is paper-filed, expect an additional 3 to 4 weeks of processing time.
