SANDRA J. McDUFFY

Sandy McDuffy, shareholder, earned her Bachelor's degree from Southwest Texas State University, graduating with honors, then attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where she earned a Master's degree. She has been involved in public accounting since 1987, primarily in the area of taxation. She earned her CPA certificate in 1996. Joining DJBCO in 1994, she heads the firm's estate and gift taxation services. She is member of the AICPA, TSCPA, San Antonio Chapter TSCPA and the San Antonio Estate Planners Council.

JOSEPH G. DAVIS, III

Joe Davis, shareholder, is a graduate of Texas A & M University and St. Mary's University School of Law. After receiving his J.D., Joe practiced in the legal field while continuing his education at the University of Texas at San Antonio. In addition to his legal experience, Joe has also worked in the private sector as an accountant. He was a member of an implementation team which purchased, installed and maintained an accounting software system on an IBM mainframe for a large public company in Fort Worth, Texas. Joe Davis has been practicing public accounting since 1989 and became associated with DJBCO in 1994. He is a member of the TSCPA and the San Antonio Chapter TSCPA.

SHARON B. GOMEZ

Sharon Gomez, shareholder, graduated summa cum laude from California State University at Long Beach. Prior to completing her degree, Sharon worked in industry for over eight years, mostly for an equipment manufacturing company. She began her public accounting career with a "Big Six" accounting firm, where she worked for four years in the area of tax compliance, with several audit rotations. She moved to San Antonio and was certified in Texas in 1994. Sharon joined DJBCO in 1997 and works primarily with small businesses and individuals. She is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA and the San Antonio Chapter TSCPA.

NETTIE J. JOHNSON

Nettie Johnson earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix. She has worked in public accounting since 1999 and became licensed as an Enrolled Agent in 2004. Her prior experience includes manufacturing and financial bookkeeping. Nettie joined DJBCO in 2008, is a member of the NAEA and TXSEA and has served as the president of the local chapter of Enrolled Agents.

DAVID J. BAILEY

David Bailey, founder of the firm, passed away on April 15, 2007 at the age of 59. David was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, and began his career in 1971. He served as Chairman of the Accounting and Auditing Procedures Committee and the Peer Review Committee of the San Antonio Chapter of CPAs. He was a member of the AICPA & TSCPA and a lifetime Chicago Cubs fan. His personality and expertise are greatly missed.
